There simply isn’t enough financial education in schools. I’m not talking about business schools at the college level, I’m talking about basic money management and an education on leverage to high school kids, especially seniors.
The reason for that is most adults don’t understand or believe in leverage, or at least they don’t believe they can establish leverage. But that is not all adults. Many understand it and do have leverage in their lives. They need to teach it to kids.
Can you imagine what kind of difference it would make in these kids’ lives if they can grasp the idea of leverage and start looking for ways to establish it early in their lives.
Kids need to understand more about money and money habits, and it needs to start at home. They are smarter than we give them credit for. They need to get some facts about how money works, like paying cash for their purchases, locked into their heads early in life.
Again, can you imagine what kind of difference it could make in young people’s lives if we can instill in them the drive to pay cash for purchases and stay of debt. If they can truly understand that they give up their freedom when they borrow money, and they don’t have to do that.
As parents, we need to educate ourselves in our spare time and then teach what we learn to our kids.
What I’ve learned is that the best thing we can do for our income is to learn how to build an email list. If that idea is foreign to you, if you will contact me I will walk you through the basics of how to build an email list and what is possible long term.
